Do you want to learn to knit? Or maybe you have tried before or it has just been a very long time since you last picked up your needles. Then this is the class for you. You will learn to knit and purl and how to read basic knitting instructions. We will discuss yarns, needles, and knitting terminology. You will also learn about knitting tools, patterns and yarn and pattern source. You will need to purchase the yarn and needles at the shop so you will have beginner friendly needles and yarn to work with. Judy is an experienced knitter and teacher. She has taught knitting for over 10 years and has worked with many beginners (and not so beginners). The goal of the class is for you to have fun and find out how relaxing knitting can be. The minimum number of people for a class is 3 and the maximum is 6.

Beginner’s Crochet Classes (Min of 4 students)
Time: Tuesday’s 600 to 800PM – February 6,13, 20 & 27

Do you want to learn how to crochet? Or perhaps you want to brush up on your skill? Come and join the Beginner’s Classes. We’ll cover the basic stitches and techniques to get you started. Our 1st project will be dishcloths – which are quick to make and are wonderful gifts!
Crochet is an easy-to-learn skill which uses minimum materials. All you need is a hook, some yarn and a pattern. You can make a variety of projects using crochet – clothing, Afghans, toys, home décor, etc. Crochet does not need a special room or certain conditions. It is something you can do while still being sociable (unless you’re counting!). You can even take your crochet along with you on holiday. Like with any skill, the more you practice, the easier it gets. Make time for crochet and soon it will become a part of you.
* Wendi Cusins is a crochet pattern technical editor, who has been crocheting and dabbling in other crafts since she was a child. She is a professional member of the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA), and through them is certified Master of Advanced Crochet Stitches and Techniques.
